Scarface fascination?
 

Apparently i'm one of the only people on the planet who thinks that the movie ScarFace isn't that great of a movie. I'm the only black male that I know of that feels this movie is just alright.

Good acting and a decent plot but I can't see why people love this movie so much as to decorate a house with the bullshit memorbilia and use the movie as a guide to life.

Most niggas say that he built something from nothing which is true in the movie but the guy got his ass served at the end for thinking that he was more than what he was.

Not only that, his sister was getting fucked by his bestfriend who had to kill and he couldn't trust anyone.

So whats so great about the movie? Is this the type of life most people are asipiring to have or do most people just say its great because everyone else thinks its great?

BVF hadn't seen it until the other day. Probably the only black man left at that point.

i watched it, enjoyed it. Didnt think that much of it, but a lot of people swear by it

Godfather and Goodfellas are much better anyway.

Actualy I think most people are set on it because he is poor and moves his way up to the top. Things most people dream about

it's a great movie because it has several one liners that stick in your head

It shows the rise AND fall of one ambitious individual who's playing against all odds.

What are the rules again, oh yeah...

1) Don't get high off your own supply.
2) Don't underestimate the other guys greed.
