Photoshop help (watermarking)

There was an excellent thread about a year ago from Tala I think explaining how to set up an action in photoshop to watermark images and then running them thru as a batch. Anyone have a link to it or a link to something similiar online? I can't seem to find it anywhere, thought I had it bookmarked. :disgust

I dont know where that is, but I do it all the time using Photoshop...

Put vertical pics in one folder and horizontal in another before you start the action.

Open up one image.

Open up the "actions" menu

Click "new action", name it something like verticle if you are doing the vertical pics...

Put the watermark where you want it.

File, save for web, decide where you want it.....

Then click the stop button on the action.

Then go to Automate, Batch
Choose the folder (verticle) to get the pics from

Choose where they will go and start it.

I hope I said that correctly I am tired.

What he said but record two actions, one for horizontal, and one for vertical.

This is assuming that the images are all the same size, if not, you'll need to find another way.

There's some more tricks to the trade here:

1) go into layer 1, and it looks really sweet to set opacity at about 80% and place a drop shadow on it

2) why not add a 2 point stroke? makes your URL stand out

3) try filters! specifically the "unsharpmask" filter -- go with the default, and make sure you do this with vid caps

also, actions get weird sometimes, and you have to "redo" them, at least in my experiences.

good luck!
