So who has tried ABSINTHE, is it worth it? did you see the green fairy?

lol.. never tried it, how much alcohol is in there? i tried 52% rum the other day, i love rum :D

We drank some that my buddy got from Europe last year...

I saw Pink Elephants, but No fairies.....

Did a ton of it in Prague one night.

1) Make sure you mix it and light it on fire, otherwise, it taste horrid. I did that. Yuck.

2) It makes you feel a good high. Well worth it. You are very happy.

3) Forget sex. You can't perform.

4) You will feel disgusting the next day.

Absinth was a drink long ago very popular and also very poisonous. The colour used to be green and was derived from a copper based additive whiich actually contained the poisonous substance that gave absinth its reputation for which it became a banned substance. Pastis is the current day alternative with the largest market share but none of the "modern" versions contain the substance that made it so lethal. Now its just another alcoholic drink.

If you get the REAL stuff it's a great experience... T

here's alot of it out there that has very little wormwood and it's just good for a wicked drunk since it's usually 110-130 Proof...:pimp

I have had it lots of times. It just feels like a strong shot. If you light it on fire and melt a sugar cube over it you get the best taste. I never seen any blue fairies but I did have a really good time. :)

very true.....I got a bottle of the real Pernod absinthe from Germany for $80 shipped.

It's definitely a different high than just getting drunk. I did weird stuff while on it.

The first time I drank a few shots at a party of mine...someone said the word "creative" in a conversation and for some reason I had to go write the word a 100 times on the dry erase board behind our bar.

The next time I drank it I went out with friends and at about an hour before last call I decided to walk home from downtown by myself, which is a 3.5 mile walk.

lmao.... the 2nd thing could happen with just alot of alcohol too.... friend a mine always walks/runs home without thinking when hes totally drunk :1orglaugh

Tried it and it wasn't anything special. It was like..... strong alcohol that tasted like crap.

I have yet to try it, but a sealed bottle of it is sitting on my desk at home. :thumbsup

I drank it in this bar in Denmark years ago. Kind of a dizzy hallucenigenic drunk, not sure if I liked the buss or not. The bar that had it apprentnly was the only place in Denmark you could get it - it was called Kruts Karport or something like that.

It was a wacky bike ride back home that day from the bar that day

if you all tried it, and it was nothing special, and tasted like alcohol, you didn't have real absinthe...period
