yeah, looking to upgrade my Canon S200

MikeXAMO 01-16-2005 09:35 PM

depends on your budget.. if you like to tinker the Nikon D100 is a super buy - blows my Sony away in quality (6.1M) but has so many features, if you want a snap-and-go camera its certainly not for you then

Anything from Canon and Nikon. Better think twice if your are going to purchase Kodak Easy Share, my friend told me that it sucks. :(

take a look at the nikon coolpix 5700 - its not very new, but it's a good 5 MPX cam.

Basic_man 01-21-2005 07:28 AM

I bought my Canon Powershot A95 fully equiped for around 800$ CAD ! It's a damn good camera, I really recommend it !

flashfreak 01-21-2005 07:30 AM

best value for the money: Canon Powershoot S70
compact with pro features: 7 megapixels, 9 point focus ...
arround $400

I have Powershoot S50 and I'm more than happy about it.

flashfreak 01-21-2005 07:34 AM

did I mention T1 sucks? I have a friend I've told to buy a canon, he choosed the sony, I think the size and looks turned him on.
I really think sony consumer cameras are the worst at colors...
they say the cameras have "neutral" colors, I say they have low-cost image processors.

TurboAngel 01-21-2005 08:08 AM

anything Canon man... I needed a cheap digi cam to carry around for some other stuff I do.. I picked up the A400 for under $200 and it takes pretty damn good shots for a 3.2 MP.

If you want a small cheap one and don't need zoom get the Canon PowerShot SD20 it's around $300 and it's a 5 MP.

The A95 I think is 5 MP and it's around $400 I think.

you can check out http://www.dpreview.com/ for others

e-god 01-21-2005 09:01 AM

ok just back from store and bought a nikon coolpix 5200 and i think i will love it
