Virus problem: Search results are hijacked in SE's

I am trying to use google from my browser but it seems to be getting hijacked and redirected - checked the host file but there seems to be nothing there. All the results are actually the same in most cases.

Can anyone help?

Blazin: make sure you terminate all Internet Explorer applications before running that spyware tool. (ctrl-alt-delete and end all iexplore tasks) and then run again.

Yes, or the problem will just be missed.
