we paged our doc - he said feed her one more time if she pukes feed her pedalite
the nearest 24 hour joint that MAY have it is 45 min away

Oh my! Yes, Pedialyte is for babies as well as toddlers. Follow the directions on the package and you shouldn't have any trouble. :)

Water will work in the mean time. If she won't take a bottle you can feed it to her with a medicine dropper. As long as she stays hydrated she should be fine. Keep an eye on her temp too :)

Good luck! I was a total freak when I was a new mom, but I have 3 now and I haven't lost one yet so I must be doing something right ;)

dude just sprinkle some rat poison in the little gerber bottle

mcp_catman 01-21-2005 01:58 AM

pedialyte has too much salt for infants, believe it or not, Mix 1/3 gatorade, and 2/3 distilled water.... If child is running fever put damp tepid cloth under left arm pit and another on forehead for 15 mins, if condition has not changed in temp. Give 1st dose of CHilrens tylenol, and during second dose time switch to childrens advil. do this for three cycles, if no change call pediatrician. Be sure to know your infant allergies. Good Luck and Blessings to your child.

Man, kids puke for no reason. I have twins, so when one pukes, its only a matter of time before the other one gets it. As long as your little on isn't running a fever, you should be alright. Mine had a 24 hour bug during Christmas. Puke, but no fever. Just keep liquids down if you can. Good luck bro!
