If I started a 50/50 iBill revshare program that had 60 to 70 voyeur cams with a $2.95 3-day trial and a $34.99 reoccurring monthly membership?

Cams would range from nudie stuff like the Voyeur Dorm site to hardcore stuff like the Hotel Sluts site.

Before I go and spend the $$ to set it up, I just wanted to get some opinions... and make sure some people out there would actually be interested in sending traffic...

probably the average membership length (in months) of your site would be under average with a monthly recurring charge of over $30.

According to market research the $30 charge is scaring potential customers. Conversion rates are much better with a recurring charge of for example $29.95.

But maybe I'm wrong. This trick is working for me, but I don't have any experience with voyeur sites with live content.

no seasoned webmaster would put a proggie prior to testing it,,, on partnership programs the whole idea is retaining members,, sign ups are easy but retaining members is a bitch,, if you can't compete with the mega content sites and don't have fat $$$ for content,, don't even bother

When opening a program, whjether it's per signup, per click or partnership, you should ALWAYS have an adequate supply of traffic to send to yourself. Everyone and their brother can open a revshare program, but for it to be successful, it has to convert and retain and how do you, as a program owner know the conversions/retentions if you haven't sent any of your own traffic? There's more to opening a program than just putting up some content and a tour and hitting the boards...believe me, I know from personal experience ;))) We find that 70-75% of traffic to our sites is our own traffic...

Try one of those AgeOth sites perhaps. It's like having your own little paysite with sponsor program but you need just a fraction of the content.

I really appreciate all the input (especially the $29.95 idea) - but let me explain a couple of things...

I am not asking anyone to sign up. I have not even built the site yet. I AM a seasoned webmaster. I run seven paysites and two TGP sites as it is - but they are all pic content and a few videos. I have never played in the live content market and did not know if any webmasters out there would be interested in the live video proggy or not... Just wanted to test the waters before I spent any $$ on the idea. You know, see if there is a market for this type of content. Hell, Lensman uses it to help retain his members. I know I signed up with AP after sending him traffic for nearly a year just to see what I was selling. Planned to keep the membership for three days and drop it - but I still have the membership because it is such a kick-ass site. I figured if it works on me, might work on other surfers.

I do send my own traffic to all my sites. I am not as big as many of the rest of you, but I do generate enough traffic that I make way more as a webmaster than I do as the network administrator/engineer for this bank(my day job).

Thanks for the input and sorry for any confusion. Just trying to see if anyone is interested. I think I have my answer.

If I do build the site, however, I won't release it to other webmasters 'till I have run it myself for a while. That way I can make a valid claim on the conversion ratio.
