that was '99, but this is 2005.
One trend I've always seen is the constant repeated nonsense verbage of "you could do that then, but it's too late to do that now" when it comes to marketshare. Bullfuckingshit. I swear to god you guys are the most negative motherfuckers on earth when it comes to someone doing something you can't imagine doing yourself. It doesn't matter what it is, if someone says they'd like to do it... some idiot will aways chirp "yeah maybe in '99 you could do that, but not now". I'd like to give everyone that says that a swift kick in the nuts because that's exactly the type of thinking that gets people nowhere.
I heard it when I got into this biz in 2000. I heard people say "yeah, in '97 that would work... but not now". And then I saw major competition using the same ideas I had then. Some of them now are HUGE. And then in 2005 I heard people say "in 2000 that would work, but not now". So the cycle continues. And I'm going to make a fucking prediction that in the year 2020 we'll here morons continue "oh that would have worked in 2005, but not now".
Take for instance the fact that I wanted to start a paysite when I first got into this business. Everyone I talked to on the forums said "oh ya, impossible to start now... you're way too late. You won't be able to compete now." I've seen paysites flourish from 2000 to now.
All of you need to get a fucking clue and STFU. Morons...
