update on mandys surgery
 

Just got her home from the hospital , the surgery went fine,she needed extra time in recovery. Thank you for all your kind words :)

You are so sweet but didnt you hear we bought a townhouse in marietta, only my office is downtown. We have to have you and PEaches over for dinner once she feels better and thank you for being the sweetest woman in hosting :)

I haven't had any ice cream since September. The doctor wants me on a lowfat diet until my 14th post op appt with him though. So I guess I'd have to get some healthy choice ice cream lol. Actually the thought of even soup broth is making me nauseous. So I think I'll stick with my crackers and Juicy Juice for now. :)

Hope you feel better quickly! Yes, you have to watch your fat intake after gall bladder surgery, until you recover and find what foods work for you. I was fine food-wise after about 4 weeks, though I still get "phantom" gall bladder pains once in a while.

I know you dont know me from adam, but my wife had her gall bladder removed after a looong illness with stones ( slow NHS thing) all the best, and when youve fully recovered, you can hit the fatty stuff again !!

Oh, it is NOTHING like a GB attack... just a little discomfort, like a light muscle spasm. Your body is still trying to make it work, even though its not there anymore.

I had not idea she was getting cut. Hope she feels better soon.

It?s true. Since your body can?t processes fat anymore without a gallbladder and other body parts will try to help, the intake of fats will cause pain or just make you bloat and fart.

Most Doctors leave the duct (kind of like what we do with porn; enter or exit with warning pages) :)
