Well I finally got a letter from his lawyers in the middle of this week. When I talked to his lawyers they said if everything was taken down that no lawsuit would take place, so i'm assuming the people named as defendants are the stubborn ones.

I doubt it is his intention to get 80 million, I would imagine that the motive is to send Gawker into receivership / bankruptcy. I'm not sure if they're a LLC company, but IIRC, they will have to dissolve the company, pays as much as they can, and shut down.
