Webmaster's have to hear about your program 5 times before they try it... FACT OR..

Webmaster's have to hear about your program on average 5 times before they even try it.

We use this as a guideline when we think of advertising and branding.

So you want a webmaster to try your program huh or click on your sig. Well you got a lot of work cut out for you. Insane payouts, kick ass customer service and free gifts help but you have to be aware of how advertising/branding works with adult internet.

1. Let's say a webmaster see's your add on GFYor Weboverdrive that counts as once. He prolly didnt pay much attention to it but saw your add.

2. The webmaster sees you sig on a few boards that will count as 2

3. The webamster is kinda aware of your program and see 's a contest so he plays. Still doesn't join but pokes around a bit. HE is still prolly happy with his current sponser and is afraid of change. That will count as 3.

4. The webmaster see's you in a print advertisement and thinks dude these guys are everywhere. That could be 4.

5. The Webmaster see's you at a trade show or gets word of mouth of your program. That will be 5.

So when the Webmaster doesn't reiceive his check in under 1 minute and has to go to the mail box and it wasnt delivered right to his computer with 4 nakkid girls and is pissed off and wants to try a new sponser. WHo does he think of? hahaha

What do you think?

Dwreck 03-05-2005 10:32 AM

What is free money? PArdon me? Did I miss soemthing?

thaifan99 03-05-2005 10:32 AM

Word of mouth works best for me.

beemk 03-05-2005 10:34 AM

i only have to hear about it one time, and they have to have good sites. if they dont have site worth promoting i wont promote them, thats the only thing that will get me to sign up

Rochard 03-05-2005 10:36 AM

This thread brings up an interesting point. Lightspeed Cash is well known through out the industry for our parties, sponsoring different events, our Jerseys, and the fact that Steve Lightspeed attends nearly every show - and knows nearly everyone in the industry.

Yet I still have people on my ICQ who don't promote us. It's not that they don't like us or don't think they'll do well with us, it's just that there are so many programs out there and affiliates can't push them all.

Antonio 03-05-2005 10:43 AM

I only try new programs when someone posts his conv. ratios or stats, and doesn't own the program. I have nothing agaainst sigwhoring or posting your ref codes here and there, but the simple 'hey try this guys cause I say so, here's the link with my ref code' doesn't work for me.....

ADL Colin 03-05-2005 10:46 AM

Why 5 and not 3 or 4 or 6? Anything behind the number 5?

#6 Webmaster sees your ad on F.U.B.A.R. and thinks WOW these guys are Cool I should give them a try and then signs up :pimp

Rinaldo 03-05-2005 10:53 AM

I think you're drunk Derek. LOL

I agree. Although You forgot to mention Meeting someone in person.
I think that if someone meets you in person and they beleive you and have faith that you aren't blowing smoke up their ass then they'll skip steps 1-5 and they'll try your program out.
I know that after meeting you and talking to you as long as I have, that the moment I have an opportunity to send you some traffic I will.

You are one of the few individuals that a lot of people trust and go to for advice with their traffic. Not because you're funny or cure (sexy actually... mmmmmmmmm) but because you are honest.

An Interesting point indeed Rochard. Do you feel that you have gotten your money back doing all these events?WHy so manY? Do you guys feel the need to continue doing such things?

Do you find that talking to webmasters that have no intent on promoting lighspeed or bettering the compnay in any way shape or form on icq can be how can i say,,,,, for lack of a better word...........
as waste of time?

Antonio i feel that when a webmaster has a program that works then tend to keep it hush hush and don't often post thier stats. I think you may be missing some good chaces IMHO.

:winkwink:

Manowar 03-05-2005 11:16 AM

Nice analysis. Is probably more true for the bigger webmasters than the smaller ones who dont send as many sales

Thanks Manowar! However the bigger webmasters are usually contnet and are hard to change we love the smaller guys. Bring them on!

WiredGuy 03-05-2005 11:44 AM

Hell yeah, bro. Ahhh, k. Gotcha.

In that case more reps is certainly good. Not sure when the diminishing returns show up. YMMV.

BastarD 03-05-2005 11:56 AM

You forgot to add 6th think what webmaster needs to give sponsor a try..

6) Webmaster wakes up and looks at the mirror in bathroom and sees sponsor ad instead of head. Than he goes to kitchen, takes some corn flakes and finds sponsor ad at the bottom of pack. He goes to toilet, opens toilet seat and finds webmaster ad. Ok.. maby then he will sign up as affiliate, but, who da fuck would do such a thing as sending traffic to sponsor?! We need to call our wives and hear from them that they ar not longer with us - they left us for a sponsor.. so maby, ok, maby than we will send traffic.. :Oh crap :costumed- :cool-smil

Rui 03-05-2005 12:22 PM

I think you should replace the 4) with Word of Mouth, besides that you are dead on IMHO ;)

Dwreck 03-05-2005 09:31 PM
