Will the current Administration assasinate Chavez?
they made an unseccsessful attempt in 2002, followed by funding and supporting an attempted coup. Why can't this administration respect the sovereignty of other nations????????
Chavez Says Washington Plots His Murder, U.S. Denies NEW DELHI (Reuters) - Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez said on Saturday he had evidence that the United States was planning to assassinate him, an accusation that a U.S. official quickly denied. "We have enough evidence. ... If anything happens to me, the person responsible will be the president of the United States," Chavez told reporters in New Delhi. He did not offer any evidence. http://www.reuters.com/newsArticle.j...toryID=7816350 this is the most fucked up "U.S. officials portray former paratrooper Chavez, a virulent critic of President Bush, as an authoritarian menace. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice has singled out self-proclaimed socialist Chavez as a "destabilizing influence" in Latin America. U.S. officials have also accused Chavez, a firebrand nationalist, of sheltering Colombian Marxist rebels and recently criticized Venezuelan purchases of Russian automatic rifles. " this is slander for the most part. You'd think facilitating the economic collapse of Argentina or fucking up Equador would qualify as "destabalizing Influence" - arrogance and hypocracy. Why can't Venuzuela buy russian weapons? should they be buying them from the US instead? |
I agree with you this situation is totally fucked up. If you are interested see "this revolution will not be televised" A documentary depicting the western control over their media during the time of the stage coup.

seen parts of it, I had a terrific media and society studies prof, Megan Boler who gave an amazing perspective. she exposed us to parts of that as well as 'the myth of the liberal media' and a few other essays by Chompsy and bell hooks. Fantastic stuff :thumbsup I happened to be in Trinidad during the coup and missed the Westerm cover up, but I did get first hand info from Venezuela and Trinidad. I'm still not 100% about Chavez but he has tons more intergrity than Bush and Rumsfeld and Rove and all those ass clowns. |
thats some serious shit

Chavez is a stupid clown

chavez needs to lie low. i don't understand why this administration feels the need to meddle in everything, but it is getting old.

Here we go again.
This is just from memory: 1. Chavez is supporting Marxist terrorists who are trying to overthrow the Columbian government. 2. He has just signed a deal with Cuba to allow Cuban intelligence officers to track down Cuban disidents. 3. As South America is on the verge of some prosperity (just for once), Chavez is threatening to destabilise the whole continent. 4. He is allied to democracy's enemies in the Middle East. I'd love to see Chavez get assassinated. Venezuela deserves better. |

Chavez however, isn't very diplomatic and hurts his people by being so non-diplomatic with countries with power. ~Alli |
