I just turned my $200 into $1107.50 in 25 mins at partypoker!!

I'm really starting to get the hang of this :pimp

What I do is put in $200 at the 10/20 table, once I'm over $300 (usually winning 1-2 hands max), I switch to the next table. Put in only $200 again. Repeat.

I started playing at around 3am, it's now 3:28am and I figure better stop while I'm ahead.

I intend to try this strategy tomorrow though to see if it will work again; if I lose my $200, then I'm still up overall by $700 anyways :thumbsup

BastarD 03-06-2005 02:38 AM

Gambling online is addicting as fuck.

sonofsam 03-06-2005 05:17 AM

why don't you stay at the same table... eventually you get peoples betting habbits and their strategy down....

Platinumpimp 03-06-2005 05:27 AM

I am still up with partypoker...and I quit while I am ahead...

Cuz I have seen some really unreal flops there...nothing you see when playing on real tables.

mcmc 03-06-2005 05:28 AM

Oncle_Benny 03-06-2005 08:19 AM

congrats ! :thumbsup

WarChild 03-06-2005 08:23 AM

I find the secret to online poker is to always play the big stakes tables. Usually I play no limit with a max $100 buy in. Nothing's worse than getting pocket aces, and only being able to bet $1 or $2. So many chasers playing the little stakes tables, you end up with half the table calling to the river card.

spideriux 03-06-2005 10:38 AM

Congrats !!!
Good job ! :thumbsup

Where I can play it?

Dalai lama 03-06-2005 10:40 AM

congrats, now stop take $807.50 and replay tommorow with $200 nothing to lose.

The hit and run method works well though. This way nobody gets a read on you in time. :thumbsup

Staying at the same table works against me, I've learnt. I bluff a LOT and win quite a bit by people just folding. I've found that on 10/20, a lot of people would rather lose their 20,40 or even 60 in the pot than lose another 20 on top of that.

However if I stay too long, they start to call me on the bluff a few times, then I start losing...

By switching tables, no one picks up on me :)

Persius 03-06-2005 11:30 AM

congrats bro

I noticed that too....when stakes are so small, EVERYONE calls.

I've seen people tell me you should play 10/20 only with 1000$ or more, but I find playing with only $200 is fine, play the pocket tight and you will usually win one hand of over $100 before you've lost like 2-3 hands of 10-20$ only.

RAM 03-06-2005 11:30 AM

Take the money and run :thumbsup

Chris 03-06-2005 11:52 AM

i have 14$ in Party Poker who wants it ?

Varius 03-06-2005 01:41 PM

I just made another $300 :)

This time was much harder though, took me 2 hours of playing...dropped down quite a bit (I lost my first 200 fast, so put in another 200 to try and recover the first).

That brings total profit so far on $200 I put in last night to $1207.50 :thumbsup

wes 03-06-2005 01:54 PM

congrats man, I wish I had your luck haha. I havnt played in over a month. I stick to sports betting.

fuzebox 03-06-2005 01:58 PM

Party poker odds are so fucking irritating though.

How many times do you see a hand where it's flush vs. ace high flush vs. full house vs. higher full house...

The first time I played PP, within an hour I was dealt pocket 5s, other people in the hand were AA, QQ, and 1010... Capped preflop.

Flop 5 5 10. Can you imagine the action?

I've never seen anything like it at the casino, after logging hundreds of hours at real tables...

Thats what my point was earlier. Unreal flops / unreal hands. A true computer at work. The reason you don't lose always is because somebody has to win on a table, in contrary with a slots machine for instance.

fuzebox 03-06-2005 02:17 PM

I play far differently on Party Poker than in real life...

On PP I will call drawing to a gutshot straight and hit it most the time... In real life I'll muck if someone bets the flop.

Alex 03-06-2005 02:19 PM

Who here was taking epass payments and funding pp accounts?

exactly, it is 100% different, its like having a game with your drunk buddies.

PP is unreal compared to a casino this is why i stopped playing there, i am up a couple K there but i would anyday rather walk into a casino poker room.

For starters, PP is.

Epassporte is their quickest payment method :thumbsup

Varius 03-06-2005 02:24 PM

Up another $231.50 :winkwink:

Now though I will definately stop for today...

I agree, playing on party poker is mUCH different than real life, river makes straights left and right (where normally people would have folded before getting there)...

I managed to pull off 4 Aces one hand today though (my first time ever)! Pocket aces, another in flop and another as the river :upsidedow

mardigras 03-06-2005 02:37 PM

You'll spend it all back, and then some :glugglug

Spunky 03-06-2005 02:48 PM

Yes... Usually a 1-2 hour delay for payouts (compared to 5-6 for Neteller).

wjxxx 03-06-2005 08:13 PM

Congrats :thumbsup

qwe 03-06-2005 08:36 PM

i made $1k from $100 and i thought i'm the hot shit too... you will loose it, BELIEVE ME, some unreal flops there...

khs 03-06-2005 08:48 PM

pp has some funky ways of letting you win, Bodog is the most realistic of the poker sites

Vitasoy 03-06-2005 09:14 PM

Very nice indeed, Congrats man

woj 03-06-2005 09:43 PM

good job :thumbsup

I have a hard time making a profit at internet poker.....maybe its because there are too many other distractions.

There are alot of suckouts in online poker...but you still get your fair share of those playing 3-6 and 4-8 at the casino.

I crush the low limit games at the casino but for whatever reason struggle to break even online.

the boy 03-06-2005 10:18 PM

awesome bro!!
keep it up! :thumbsup

hydro 03-07-2005 02:45 AM

Take the money and run or get ready to lose them all, plus some cash of your own within the next few days. Would be surprised if you don't.

Good luck !

Game theory man...once people think you're bluffing, stop, you hit a monster hand, you will get a lot of callers...

Nice run you're having, I've been having a bad run lately, but still up overall. I think a better strategy than switching tables often is to switch games often. If you're having a bad run at a ring game, try 6 max, NL, or a tourny even...
