Thats not unlike most corporations that you do business with, alot of times just saying u want to cancel can lead to a free month or etc

Fool.com is sneaky like that. Once I subscribed for one of their annual newsletters and when it was time to renew I called and asked not to be charged. I got the next year for $30 instead of $200 or something

ya, bigger companys usually do whatever it takes to keep ya comin back. $1 is more than $0 (especially if its mulitplied by 1,000's)
