Journalist in Iraq saying they would "let Iraq attacks happen for story"
 

I have such a tough time believing anyone would do this, but I heard a blurb about it on the news this morning.

They are saying well known journalist have stated they think this way.

I hesitate to say that if I knew of a journalist did this after an attack on my base, I would shoot him.

Accidentally of course.

what the fuck can a journalist do to stop an attack?

if the press new that a group of guys walking over were packing explosives, and clammed up in order to get a big scoop, they deserve to get fragged

How in the hell could a journalist know about an attack BEFORE all of the intelligence that the military has out there?

The claim is that they DO. Argue the validity of the story separately from the hypothetical / alledged charges currently being debated.

So I think there is some loophole (or perceived loophole) allowing them freedom from liability.
