For anyone who watches UFC, hope you tuned into SpikeTV to watch one of the best UFC fights ever: The Challenge final between Bonnar and Griffin was awesome ... the should both get contracts. wow.

I wasn't surprised they offered Bonnar the contract, but a little unfair. That's what these guys were all fighting for and why they both fought until they couldn't stand in the final ... so it's a bit of a slap in the face to Forrest, though I do agree they both deserve to fight in UFC.

That was a GREAT fight. Toe to Toe all three rounds. Neither wanted to lose that contract and you could see that. I wanted forest to win that entire time. When he got cut I thought it was going to happen all over again. But when the doc gave the okay it only got better. Congrats to Forrest for getting the win. As for Steven. I knew he had some stand up game and he showed it. I was glad to see they tossed him a contract as well.

And he has the longest thank you speech ever.

Yeah great fights... I've got ringside at UFC 52 next week baby...

I figured Shamrock was a little too old, the announcers were really hyping him, but he made some sloppy mistakes he wouldn't have made in the past when he wasn't 100%. not to say he isn't a tough ass old man, but the dude that beat him was really fast nad had the killer instinct. bad combo for shamrock

I agree - the car is a joke for a hick like Forest...

btw, I agree Bonnar definetly deserves a contract but I just don't think it was appropriate for Dana to announce in the middle of the ring he was getting (I believe) the same contract as Forest. The rules were clear: The winner in each class gets a contract and the losers go home.

If the day after the fight Dana calls up Stephan and says "hey dude, we've decided to give you a contract but out of respect to Forest - who won the fight - yours will be for a lesser term/money..."

That's all.

He actually slipped and fell twice. Then never even attempted to defend himself after he fell the second time. Looked like he let him get his leg out of that submission he had him in too. But maybe he is just old.

I wish i had spike tv, in the UK its shown on a channel called bravo and the only show old tapes. I think the newest UFC ive seen is UFC 50. Fucking hate the UK, might start buying the vids instead...

That fight was unreal and I'm happy they both got contracts... if that fight went another round somebody would have got KO'd
