The Guitar Center.............
 

For those who chimed in for me last week about guitars. I took your advise and checked out a bunch of them in Hollywood, California. Dog gone! The Guitar Center is like a going into Toy's R Us for a kid. Or a chocolete factory! Took my son. We were there for about hour and half. Couldn't make up our minds. Like the Gibsons and the Fenders. The Les Pauls are really nice units. Lots to chose from!

I forgot who told me to check out the "tube amplifiers." You are right. Definate differance in sound!!!!!!!!!

Saw one Fender in there for 40 grand. I think it had something to do with a dead rocker or a blues player. Possibly Stevie Ray Vaughn.

Anyway..........What a music store! :thumbsup

LOL...so true. Me and my friends call Guitar Center/Sam Ash "The Musicians' Candy Store". Everytime we go, we wanna buy EVERYTHING regardless of whether we know how to use it or not.

The one in Hollywood is probably one of the biggest ones.

So what did you pick out?

Couldnt make up our minds. Really like those Les Paul's. But a little steep for now. May just go to one of the American made Fenders. There was another one that we both like the sound on. I think it was an Ibenez hollow body electric. Wasn't too expenssive either. It had a really nice sound. I was surprised at the prices for the amps and speakers. Gonna take another trip to the valley Guitar Center next weekend. Sam Ash too. :thumbsup Oh........my son already knew about the sound diff in solid state and the tube amps. :thumbsup
