Maybe if you provided a little more detail on the actual method (no I don't mean tell us your secrets) then we can see if there is anyone who will dispute the fact that you were the pioneer of the said method or if you were really the first.

but usually that are just claims who hold no real truth value and can not be backed by actual facts

cause you wont know where that peticular person got his or her idea, maybe that person was the one who got idea X or Z big , but that doenst mean that that person also invented it
