how would a person get mainstream traffic built up to a forum

i wanna build up kittenforum.com

it could be big. but i have no idea how to draw the audience.

se, link trades, spam, yahoo groups, google adwords.

Anything could be big, the question is where do you find the proper audience.
You are asking a question that will take trial and error and no one knows
where your really trying to go with this forum. So you have to draw out your
own game plan and most importantly EXECUTE IT.
