Dear Gov. Schwarzenegger!

I believe you are doing what you can but I also believe you promissed the farm when you ran for office as Govenor of CA. You continually said that the CA economy was struggling because of the way a CA business is taxed. Yet here a few years later nothing has changed. Perhaps your hands are tied and there is nothing you can do about it. Afterall, two states that border CA (NV and OR) don't have income tax.

Just to let you know between the end of last week and this I visited OR. Nice place. Wouldn't want to live their full time but all I have to do is live their 6 months and 1 day per year. My CA corporations will be disolved as I move my operations to OR. No longer will the franchise board be my adversary. No longer will they take $800 per LLC and no longer will the state of CA take a portion of my income.

I work hard for my money. I don't want to pay for failing programs. The roads in CA suck. Gas is 50 cents more than where I lived in FL. A $500,000 home here is a dump but don't get me wrong I love CA and I will be living here in my second home approximately 5 months or just shy of that per year. Oregon is my home now (well, at least based on homestead laws), and I like the fact that I will save about 10% more per year.

If anyone wants to come up to Gold Beach let me know. We can drink and party and watch the sun set over the Pacific. Hopefully we will not get the munchies because while the area is beautiful it is also quite quiet. i doubt there is a restaurant open past 10. LOL. Wait. CA - I want to come back home. Just kidding. I can cook just fine so we can have the munchies all day.

Anyway, I'll be right back. It is cocktail time. :thumbsup

that guy is such a piece of shit.

I was stupid enough to submit my info to his site when he was running because I wanted a sticker. And all I get now is TONS of republic spam. ALL the fucking time. To my email and snail mail. Asking for money and "support" while they play smoke and mirrors with their politics.

he gives his email list to ALL his republican friends, its sickening and I report them all as spam.

you think the Dems don't spam? get real. regardless, it's allowable and you should've expected it to happen. both sides do it, they're allowed to do it, hell even the green party does it on recycled paper. you act like it's the end of the world b/c you have to go through the strenuous pain of throwing a few letters in the mail every day.

no doubt the Dems spam. They're all dirty.

So you're saying its ok to just take a massive email list and give it out to your friends? Is that legal? I didn't opt into all these fucking republicans lists, that is for sure. They can break the spam laws when its for politics though huh.

I act like its the end of the world? Typical republican exaggeration. And I don't just throw them away, I take my sweet time and report them all as spam to the proper authorities. :)

Where did you ever get the idea that Oregon does not have State Income Tax. The State Income Tax is almost as high as Federal Income Tax. I know because I paid a bundle in State Income Tax just this year. I did my own taxes but when I came up with the amount of State Income Tax I was going to have to pay...I thought that I surely was mistanken so I hired an accountant and he came up with the same identical amount that I had. It irritated me to pay it because the money was not earned in Oregon...but in Oregon all income...no matter the source is taxed.

Oregon does not have a Sales Tax...but they make up for it in Property Tax and it seems that Property Tax is based upon what they say that it is...as my Property Tax has gone up from the first year that I was here to this... approaching...a second year...and their State Income Tax.

In addition...unless I am mistaken...you will still have to pay CA State Income Tax if you earned any money within the State for the half year.
