How often do you replace you mouse

I just replaced my mouse today and wow it makes it fun to work again.
How often do you guys swap yours out?

sickkittens 04-16-2005 10:05 PM

Not often. I've had this one for awhile.

DateDoc 04-16-2005 10:05 PM

neber - use lap tops

evilmaster 04-16-2005 10:15 PM

1 mouse - 2 years... Not more often.

Barefootsies 04-16-2005 10:27 PM

I keep my Micro$oft optical mouse clean, and never have had a problem with it in a good 3-4 years.

I would only replace a mouse if it breaks, becomes slow, or something to that effect. It's happened with this one, but a quick cleaning always solves the problem, and it's laser fast again.

:thumbsup

I haven't changed mice in over 2 years.

jukeboxfrank 04-16-2005 10:33 PM

I upgrade as soon as one comes out that has better features than the one I have.
like when wireless and then optical came out.

just got 2 new dell 20" wide flat screens and 2 logitech DiNovo bluetooth kb/mouse setups to compliment.

they look great. not to mention, the mice are rechargeable. All my old wireless mice's batteries would die so damn fast.

I would never buy a wireless mouse that you couldn't re-charge

only if it breaks (which is never), think I got my current one in about 98

tungsten 04-17-2005 06:06 AM

beta-tester 04-17-2005 06:06 AM

Well, I was used old classic mice since February. Now I am using Logitech MX1000, and I am not planing to replace it in the future...

iwantchixx 04-17-2005 06:55 AM

on average i replace my mice once every 6 months and keyboards every year. The keyboards just stop working right after while, the shift and ctrl keys always go dead on me after awhile. As for the mice, they just plain suck after awhile. I need something new. Right now I got this $20 HP mouse that's pretty good to me. Just wish it had better resolution. Soon time to upgrade. Been thinking about one of those laser mice.

My last keyboard was OLD. The ALT key had a huge dent in it from allt the ALT-TABing :1orglaugh

But I need to toss out my new keyboard since it SUCKS. It's a Microsoft something, the damn keys are curvy and I can't type on it. I found a sweet one that looks just like my laptop keyboard. Completely flat and short key stroke.

replace batteries once every 3 months.. (cordless).. only replace a mouse when it stops working.. clean it inside about once a month... and its as if its brand new
