Programmer needed?

Looking for an experienced programmer? Contact me on ICQ with the work you are looking to get done, can quote you fairly - available to get started immediatly.

Warning; I'm not an offshore developer and therfor don't expect dirt cheap prices; what you can expect is quality work - references and products available to back that claim up.

Dude, knock off the spamming. You don't need to post a new thread like this every few days. This isn't scriptlance.

Hey, I'm a programmer with 10 years experience, so do I get to spam the board as well?

I knew we were about due for a sexdwarf programming ad :thumbsup

har ;) need the money and well if there's programming work needed, i'm looking to take it on... no harm in occasional self promotion; unlike some of the other programmers here i am not familiar with alot of the people on GFY and don't have word of mouth to rely on yet (gotten a handful of projects so far, three very worthwhile), and until that time yes I do find the need to just put out a small self advertisement :)

Annoying potential customers isn't the way to get work. Go to scriptlance if you need a job.

Bud, there are many here in the same boat, yet we reply to 'want ads' and discuss projects and sometimes they're given sometimes they go to the more well-known folk. Still, we don't all spam the board.

If someone wants programming done, they'll ask for it. Then you can put your case forward as to why you should be chosen. If you're not, wait for the next call.

Don't pester people, as it's just annoying. :2 cents:

scriptlance caters to the person willing to go the lowest price; i don't bother with those sites because it lowers (imho) the value of the work programmers do, just as using offshore developers does... as for annoying potential customers, a post every few days is far less annoying than seeing the same ad on tv 20 times a day...

if you are annoyed with my ads (which is quite obvious) then just skip over my posts, ignore me, whatever... they won't change your life for the better or worse so why waste the time?

Why not just stop making the posts completely? Problem solved!

Scriptlance rocks. It puts arrogant programmers who over-value their skills in their place.

borked; that is what i generally do; however when there is no food in the fridge and the girlfriend is upset that we can't even buy bread, then i will go an extra mile to reach out to potential clients - regardless if it annoys some people

babaganoush; i'm far from arrogant, and quite easy to get along with...as for over-valuing skills - you are not familiar with my capabilities just as i am unfamiliar with those of others on this board... i know what i can do and what it's worth, and that is my decision in the end.

sexdwarf 04-18-2005 01:18 PM

jimmy, $50/hour on average
