directNic question
I have a server issue and I need to get a site on another server temporally.. anyone know if directNic offers the fast DNS changes?
I can't find anything in their admin on if they do or don't. |
hey crockett, are you coming down for the stiffycash fishing trip?
I use directnic all the time and yes their dns is really fast. Usually within a few minutes you can start to see the changes. The thing that holds up propigation of domains is the TTL and the cache settings at the major isps. You know about dnsstuff.com right? You can use the cache checker there to watch the progress |

I Hit Sig up on ICQ and got this response for you:
----------- Sig (09:49 AM) : Micky G. is correct. Our DNS changes are lightning fast. We use mydns http://mydns.bboy.net/survey/ to update dns (instead of using bind like most companies) so all changes are immediately reflected on our end. This then propagates out depending on the time to live and cache settings. |
yea it's showing the new DNS already on dnsstuff.com but seems the ISP's arn't so quick on updating
thank's for checking for me byw :thumbsup |
Micky I haven't heard anything on the fishing trip.. gotta link?

DirectNic's stuff updates lightning fast
Make sure you changed the Serial Number on the DNS and check the TTL. Many nameservers take ions to propagate. good luck Big B CECash.com |
