I'm sick of the stupid fucking hollywood banner on GFY
 

WHY would you make your fucking banner emulate a "CLICK" when someone pushes the space bar?

Every fucking time i go to a new page and press the space bar to scroll down (without clicking on the page first) i get your stupid fucking website loading on my screen, which takes over the GFY browser.

Why dont you fix it so that only people who CLICK on your banner get taken to your website? Makes more sense doesnt it?

Next time you see a Hollywood Traffic banner push the space bar before touching/clicking anything else. Usually the browser scrolls down the page for me but when their banner is showing i get taken to their website instead of having the browser scroll down GFY.

Install firefox and adblock...gfy is totally banner free for me :)

I've been surfing GFY for years using my spacebar to scroll down the page. It's habbit, its the way things "SHOULD" work.

With banners like Hollywood Traffic i think i will be listening to Franck and install that shit, at the very least i'll be able to surf normally again without intrusive banners being shown to me.

I disabled it long time ago when all those talking banners and shit started appearing. Plus it makes browsing gfy smoother.

I ignore most banners though, I am not looking for new sponsors

Why is it that when i construct a webpage and look at it from explorer and it seems perfect, but then look at it from netscape and some things are messed up? Tell me the reasons and how to go around to make the page look the same for most of the browsers.

Stop using IE to test. IE has is well known for its awesome HTML interrupter and its ability to show poorly created html properly. Another problem might be that you're using inline code which only IE understands.

Back in the day, if you forgot a </table> somewhere NS wouldn't show the table whereas IE would (and show it properly).

I do NOT advertise, free or paid. I've always had the banners shown as i like to "support" gfy. I have no issues turning my sound down (i normally have it off unless i am listening to/for something).

Having a banner which thinks pushing the spacebar is the same thing as clicking on it cross the line for me though...If it is ok "force" and/or "trick" someone in to going to their website then my all accounts its ok for me to avoid such a banner...

Remember, it only takes one person to ruin it for everyone.
