How to sell off footage? Anyone?
 

Ok, I have some footage that I would like to sell off. A few girl on girl scenes and a couple guy on girl scenes. I have all paperwork in order, copy of ID's, everything is good to go. This is ofcourse amateur footage shot with plenty of lighting and a VX1000. The couples I used are between the ages of 19 and 23. All very attractive (8 out of 10). Now how to distribute this footage so where as I am not losing? I was planning on hitting the phone tomorrow and calling distributors and production companys. Would I be wasting time? Any and all information would be more then appreciated.

there are people who read this board who buy exclusive content for their paysites. encode samples from the movies for people to check out.

if the stuff is decent somebody will buy them, either a paysite owner or content provider.

and yes studios/distributors do buy scenes - if it's amateur u can hit up Homegrown Video - they don't pay top dollar but it's enough to cover your expenses and make some profit. [email protected]

Yes definitely, I am working on a few samples but see this is my biggest concern. How much do most people pay for footage? I am completely oblvious to this as you are obviously aware.

depends on your footage. normally i would say usd 400 - 1500

if it's boy/girl hardcore and decent quality you should be able to get $1000-1500 per scene.

Vids or pics?

Needs to be exclusive for these rates, (only sold to one buyer and ownership transferred) and you still haven't hit me up :)

What about putting them on a VOD site. If you have a dvd and boxcover art we would take it. We do pay per minute so the length of the movie is irrelevant.

Just an idea...We are starting to get old footage from affiliate pay sites who shot their own content for their sites that before were just sitting growing dust.
