Ghetto Gospel - 2pac

What do you all think of Ghetto Gospel ?

Personally i think Eminem is ruining Tupac's stuff.

And 50 cent wanting to be loved like 2pac :1orglaugh , never gonna happen 2pac will always be the best.

Ok I could talk about this forever. Overall I like the orginal best of course. However the version you are talking about is pretty good. Overall Better Dayz and Until The End Of Time were really really good. Still I Rise is also not to be overlooked. I truly wish Johnny J was able to do all of Pac's beats. There is no one in the world that fit him better. Me Against The World is a great example of this. As far as the Em doing beats: there are certain songs off Loyal to The Game that sound like a polka. Yet, Don't U Trust Me is a fucking great track! Good on some bad on others. As I said we need Johnny J ...

Please ask more 2pac questions I seldom am able to get into my favorite subject :winkwink:

All good.

I only got into Tupac about a year before he died, and for someone who i don't know personally, just the songs he's done and the poems he's done bring a tear to my eye every time i hear or read them (and i'm 6'3 260 pounds).

Yes he has infuenced me greatly. The stuff during the Makaveli period is insane. The man was driven :pimp

Any other opinions

I heard Ghetto Gospel last week for the first time.. didn't even know about his Eminem produced album until I read the aweful reviews on Amazon. I started listening to Pac around All Eyez On Me, which is prolly my all time fav. The stuff that leaked out underground 1-2 years after his death was his best. I think most of that was cleaned up and released already.. I absolutely hate what some of these producers are doing to his music! Shitty samples, corny music, unrelated artists featured on his tracks.. fuckin BS man..

TDF 05-10-2005 11:38 AM

the truth is,eminem rined that whole damn album..everyone knows eminem and pac would have never ever done a song together..let alone him and elton john

What happened was the samples Pac orginally used were not cleared. So many of the tracks we hear now have lost all of the original vibe. There is a pettion to get them to try and aqquire the tracks and release one with the real beats. This will not happen though :Oh crap

TDF 05-10-2005 12:10 PM

Johnny J brought the best out of Pac and vice versa

BT 05-10-2005 12:12 PM

I still think Bubba sparks is the best rapper still alive

i completely agree. Regarding Eminem, I think he did a fairly good job based on the material he had in his hands and imagine i dont even like this guy. 50cents? that's a guy with no talent but shitload of luck.

akron remix of ghetto gospel is very nice
the one with elton john is not bad either

"Eminem and pac would have never ever done a song together" In 90s no, but now you can never tell.

The track Hate It or Love It 50 Cent G Unit Remix is great check it out :thumbsup

all eyez on me was pac's last best album. All that crap that was released after it just didnt really fit pac's westcoast style, i bet when he was alive and he had to choose the beats producers it would turn out different. Some tracks are good tho, but every rap cd has some tracks that are good.

I think they all have their own different styles. About being loved like 2pac, they can really try, but it's not gonna happen.

NichePay_Patrick 05-10-2005 05:19 PM

When I write rhymes, I go blind, and let the lord do his thang
But am I less holy
Cuz I choose to puff a blunt and drink a beer with my homies

jf2404 05-11-2005 01:26 AM

In the event of my demise
when my heart can beat no more
I hope I die for a princeple
Or a belief that I have lived for
I will die before my time
Beacause I feel the shadow's depth
So much I wanted to acomplish
Before I reached my death
I have come to grips with the possibility
And wiped the last tear from my eyes
I loved all who were positive
In the event of my demise

I like this poem pac did. R.I.P.

nico-t 05-11-2005 07:15 AM

seriously tho, pac is overrated like every famous person who died young
