SE guys, simple question.
I'm going to pay a friend of mine to write 250-300 short stories for a new site I'm building. I'm thinking of putting every story on a separate page. My question
is do I upload all the content at once or do I upload say 50 stories, and then add say 10 stories (pages) a week? Another way of asking the question is: do search engines favour a site that is rich on content but never updated, or a site that is regularly updated? Does it make a difference at all? |
I find that when you have content updates on a regular basis (daily, weekly, whatever time period you want), a spider will start to come at that frequency. BUT, it could be these are high PR sites as well like CNN, News.com, so its hard to tell if its because they have lots of published content or if its because of their PR.

I would agree with WG at all. Regulary updated content will make spider bot to start coming to the site frequently. Because I think you should update your site at least once a week.
P.S WG, can you please hit me on ICQ: 944-32046 , I wanna talk to you, about some SEO stuff :) Thx. |
wow cool! go with 5 stories per week, have a script doing it for your and feature every story update on the main page. this might even attract bookmarkers.
