Wow Googles Web Accelerator Is a Piece of Work [RANT]

so after jupz recommended it I installed it and everything was fine, it was a bit faster (saved 1 hour so far) and had little bad experiences. After I read how it works and about a few complaints I felt like uninstalling it coz I wasn't glad with Google monitoring everything I do.

So I uninstall it, reboot, and fucking FF doesn't work anymore! I reboot 3x and still nothing. So I decide to install it again and BAM... FF works again.

What a load of crap, anybody have a remedy for this?

Firefox stopped workign for me when I installed it...don't know the cure because it was right before I built this new machine.

I think the accelerator is a bum deal already , very unsecure. I haven't checked it out fully , but it works much the same way a proxy would if you used passwords through it ( i.e. unsecure )

just read that they stopped the downloads of this program because "the maximum number of users has been reached". Nice way to tell everyone it's crap.

So thanks for telling me I'm an idiot... but how do I get rid of this stuff?

no I didn't miss it but uninstalling is apparently not working for me now is it.

I didn't ahve any problems installing and then uninstalling soon after (had it a couple of days). I didn't have to reboot, I just made sure FF was closed during the uninstall.

You might want to try installing it again, and then uninstall with FF closed down... After that don't reboot just keep working =)
