Anyone familiar with Site Depth?

is anyone from site depth around or is anyone familiar with it? I'm about ready to pull my damn hair out!!

which version, i am very good with version 2.0, but they haven't bothered to let anyone know about an upgrade for it, so I am stuck with it

4Pics 05-11-2005 07:46 PM

what do you need to know?

I've used it, but don't like it very much.

Ok, so I'm adding galleries..all is fine....but then I had to delete a gallery. So I deleted it.

Uploaded another gallery. Although the gallery shows up in the admin area, it is just a whole lot of red x's in the members area...

So I delete....reupload the zip, process it...

Now 2 don't show up....

Delete, reupload the zip...process it...

the both show up!!! woohoo!

So I got on to adding another gallery

Now the two I had problems with before plus the new one won't show up.

Any ideas why these things are not showing up? I mean...the others were just a matter of uploading the zip and then "add galleries" fill out that thingie and it processed it and things were fine...but since I deleted that one gallery...it seems like it just won't work anymore.

i have had this problem before, i had to unzip the pics, re-jpeg em with acdsee and zip them up and uplaod them again

something to do with the jpeg coding or something

What I don't get though is if the pictures appeared before, and they are showing up in the admin area...why not show up now?

I've been using it for over a year now and have never had any problems. I delete galleries and add new ones all the time. When did they install it for you?

As a product It's ok but there are a few features I would like to see in the 3.x upgrade.

Jace 05-11-2005 10:18 PM

anyone have any idea or heard anything about version 2 users getting upgraded?

Version 3 is ready from what I heard but the upgrader is not.

I would guess the problem lies with your zip file or the images themselves. Usually a new zip file will fix any problems I have encountered.

After you upload the zip you have to add the gallery. After the gallery has been added, you can look at all the pictures and set the thumb.

I assume that you got htis far ok.

Then you have to go out of the add galleries and into the sections menu.

When you go into the sections menu, all the sections (individual girls) will be listed. Find the section that fits the gallery you just added. Select edit.

The sections edit template will come up, and you will see that the thumbnail for the section (girl) is blank. You can upload a picture from your PC.

That's what I do.

One would think that when you set the picture in a gallery after the initial upload and unzip, that that picture's thumb is what would be used instead of the red X. But after you edit the section and upload a thumb, the red X will be gone.

I think this might be a glitch, though I haven't talked to Omar or Rick about this. I just work around it.
