So I got a laptop hardware question
I purchased a new PMCIA USB card for my laptop.
I figured I have 2 slots for cards and I am only using one for my ethernet card. I can add the new one. WRONG! I can not fight both cards at the same time. And sadly I really need to. But the physical case will not fit them both. Is there some sort of extender or thing I can use to make the card longer and bump into the other? |
I presume your USB card has 4 ports, so thick at the user end.
With my dell, I inserted the wireless network card first in the bottom slot Then, I inserted the USB card in the top slot, forcing a certain upright angle. It works, at least with the Dell I have.... |

A solution may be to use a USB to Ethernet adapter and use one of the new USB ports for such.

Purchase a new laptop.
