Traffic conversion ratios

When calculating traffic conversion ratios do you go off your impression to signups or uniques to signups?

I count how many uniques to send to the site (no galleries) and examine how many sign up compaired to how many view the signup page, etc. There are a lot to exame. Just looking at the traffic you send doesn't really tell you much.

hits to paysites ( first page uniques ) to signups

This question can go so many ways because of so many factors. Overall for me it is how well a site does in general. In my statsremote most important thing to sort by is the sales per month. Too the far right. I then look at what programs make the most per unique. If I see .09 per click of course I will send more. As far as ratios per unique raw or whatever. They are useful yes, but do not dertemine where and why my traffic is sent. :2 cents: Dating programs to me are worth the most. We will see if this strategy pays off :pimp

350-360 uniques...is decent. BUT YOU CAN DO BETTER.

the conversion rate is not so important. the net net is.

many variables here, cost to produce traffic, gross per sale, etc etc.

but in general, these days (coming into summer season) if you can generate a $30 monthly/recurring at 1 in 500 or better your doin' good.

ratios mean not a lot.......return per click does...

Factor in how many hours work you do and what it would cost somebody to pay you for that work.

I typically use raw first page... but it depends on the traffic... If you were dumping 404 traffic your conversions would look a hell of a lot different than if it was SE hits..
