BOYCOTT News Week Magazine ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !

I hope that Adult Webmasters will BOYCOTT News Week Magazine.

I have served in the middle east and know first hand of how much this our image! I call for other webmasters to cancle thier subscriptions!

"Newsweek magazine backed away Sunday from a report that U.S. interrogators had desecrated copies of the Quran while questioning prisoners at the Guantanamo Bay naval base. The story was blamed for a wave of anti-American riots in Afghanistan and other parts of the Muslim world, that left at least 15 people dead." Thank god no soldiers were killed.

You think many adult webmasters really read newsweek to begin with?

ed146 05-15-2005 06:15 PM

La raison d'etat prevailed :2 cents:

After Shock Media 05-15-2005 06:18 PM

Wait are you saying we should boycott them because of the initial report or because they backed away from the story?
Two entirely different reasons imho.

tony286 05-15-2005 06:19 PM

I also highly doubt they are reading news week overseas

Screaming 05-15-2005 06:23 PM

i dont know any who do heh

Mr.Fiction 05-15-2005 06:35 PM

I agree!

The Bush admin probably told them to deny their original story and so they did. That's a good reason to boycott them.

They should have not even published the story, period. I ask myself who's side are they on? I also think Americans should boycott News Week because they backed away from the story. The story was based on "hear say"

There is almost nothing called a right wing media. Every major network (other than Fox) is so left wing, its scary.

You don't think the media should report stories that might make America look bad? What about stories that make the government look bad?

Sounds like you support a system like the one in China or Iraq under Saddam?

Do you support America turning into a communist country where the government controls the media? That's what Newsweek did, they gave in to the government like communists!

Now I get what you were speaking about. That is just plain stupid. Why would we want to boycott anything where someone speaks out about what is going on or just questioning the Government?
Any belief that thinks questioning the Government, pointing out what is wrong, or just plainly speaking out against it is the belief that is on the "wrong side".

As for the right wing comment, fact is nearly every major network has been puckered up to the right wing's ass for two plus years now.

jayme_ 05-15-2005 07:04 PM

whether you like it or not, its called free press.

propromotions 05-15-2005 07:04 PM

Your ignorance entertains me...I should not be suprised that you and most people don't fully understand the maganatude of a story like this.

I think that Newsweek should report openly on 99.999% of their storys. But the rest of the time, they need to understand what the outcome of there story might be.
