Moving to Florida (orlando area)
Got a job offer I can't refuse. I have a month to get my ass down there and get to work. Any of you floridians have any info on where I should move to close to downtown Orlando. I dont want to find some place and sign a lease to find out I am in some ghetto ass part of town. Any tips or hints as to what areas to look at, would be greatly appreciated!

I would like to be 30-45 minutes away...... got any ideas? |
Look for an apartment complex called "Park Central".
Best complex in the entire Southeast. Only 10 minutes from downtown. I used to live there when I was in O-Town and loved it. |

Thanks alot! |
Metro West and Doctor Philips areas would be nice for kids.
All three that I have mentioned are within 5 minutes of Universal Studios (or closer) and about 12 minutes from Downtown. |
Try Winter Park area.

oh oh FL in June is hell they said when I asked bout Disney
|
You need to be east/southeast of downtown. Trust me I know the traffic patterns around here. Forget Metrowest area. Traffic has gotten really bad there. And Winter Park? OMFG. Twenty minutes to go 1 mile during rush hour. The secret is to be near the 408.
|
Hit me up I know Orlando perfectly!! And I have a child so I know what you mean about wanting to live in the right part of town.

Lot of traffic to that new mall? |
Of course I live here...
Winter Park is a nice area, depends on what you are looking for. A LOT of people are starting to move into the US27/US192 Area up on 27 they are building houses faster then they can sell them and if your looking to rent or own its a great area, low crime and everything is new. anything around Pine Hills or US 50 near downtown stay away from. The Maitland, Lary Mary areas area really nice. Where about are you working I can give you better ideas. |

Fuck, I meant College Park. It was late when I posted and I haven't been over that way in a while. I lived in both areas, Altamonte Springs also at one point. Anyway, fuck if I know anymore, I'm out in fuckland Deltona at this point, headed out to LA in September. Not sure what the hell I was thinking when I moved out this way, other than being closer to my wife's family so she could spend time with them before we split to Cali.

get an extended stay hotel on OBT and check it out for yourself......
what you might think is shitty......someone else may find nice...... :helpme |
