Ipod Erased - HELP!

So Itook my Ipod to the long island office, plugged it into the PC here to charge and it erased the whole thing. Is there a hack to recover the data and get my tunes back on it?

I know I can get them back when I get home and resync it with my home ITunes but I was hoping to have them back so I had tunes for the long ride home.

Yup just fucking went blank of music. Apparently when it's set to autosync and you plug it into an empty machine it erases itself. So fucking stupid!
