Keeping track of sponsors

During the last month or so, I joined about 15 sponsors and promoting about 500 sites. Almost all the sponsors provide their stats differently, which really sucks.

What is the best way of keeping track of them all and knowing who is more profitable?

With the ccbill sites you can import the data into excel or something in few clicks. Others you can do it manually.

This is how I do:
At end of month or 5-7 weeks, I compare the sales (not ratio but $/clicks).
Since some gets more hits if I use FHGs etc or they count differently, I divide it into categories (1-5000 hits, 5000-10000 etc..)
Then I take each one who gave most $/click from each range, sort them with adding the rebills, and promote more of the best next month. The bad ones are pulled down on priority list and some are out.

Rest is subjective (new sites, new promo etc.)

It takes some time, but it is really worth it. If you do it right, its your best paid hours. :thumbsup

It's $300+. I can write my own software.

Just throw up all the links and wait for checks to arrive..Don't even worry about stats...

Seriously...I tried it and it works...One day I just decided to throw up damn near every link I could find in my niche and related niches and waited to see if the traffic would filter itself and it did. If you have banners up, the surfers WILL click the shit and they'll click all fucking day...

I now get checks all the time and I love it.

Allboutdamoney 05-25-2005 10:45 PM

So BVF, you're saying it's not worth the time to track anything, just work on your sites and leave the conversions out?

You're missing out big time then. You want to send more traffic that will earn you the most.

Do sponsors allow you to pull data from their servers?

That's what we're going to find out. It looks like there are a few stats software programs out there, but if I'm going to use software, I'll just write my own so my server can do the work automatically.

My next question is do sponsors allow you to download stats via a delimited file so it can be imported?

xxxice 05-25-2005 11:04 PM

It is worth $30 a month statsremote :thumbsup

There has only been 1 desktop app that I'm aware of that does what you are looking for...and it seems to have been that way for years.

I'm the second (again, that I know of) and I can say I know why now, first hand lol...

But I said I'm not looking for a desktop app.

XPays 05-26-2005 12:33 AM

we have a patent on that. it won't give you every single sponsor in the world but you can add:

TCG
PussyCash
EpicCash
Python
WiredSol./Guerilla Traffic
HomeGrownVideo
Sextoy Store
Dialers
XPays
& More

Sites all with one login, one stats, one check with our proprietary setup :thumbsup

If you want a new sponsor to be added to help you out, we definitely do our best to respond to our webmaster partner feedback.

AdPatron 05-26-2005 12:40 AM

XPays, not what I'm looking for.
