I have a 2257 question

Since any website linking to a site containing sexually explicit material will have to maintain records under the new Regs.
would this put say Google out of the porn Biz?
all those adwords and all those google images ?

:helpme

I need to talk to several attorneys!

Yes, I know have several personal contacts at google who have direct contact with one of the owners. They are about 75% prepared with the digital documentation for everyone pornsite in their index. They hired some of the best developers to automate the process as much as possible. Simply amazing.

How can they possibly get lisences for all the images ... If you unfilter your earch results you can have ALL the free porn you could ever want. there is no way.... this is going to cost them Billions

KROSH - is this the krosh from FCI back in the day?

if so hit me up on icq 46877299

Btw in answer to your question - linking is just fine and for their image search here is your answer:

(ii) Mere distribution;

(iii) Any activity, other than those activities identified in
paragraphs (c) (1) and (2) of this section, that does not involve the hiring, contracting for, managing, or otherwise arranging for the participation of the depicted performers;

(iv) A provider of web-hosting services who does not, and
reasonably cannot, manage the sexually explicit content of the computer site or service; or

(v) A provider of an electronic communication service or remote computing service who does not, and reasonably cannot, manage the sexually explicit content of the computer site or service.

Distribution is legal See iv and v for google free ticket to ride.

Indeed my friend, Indeed. But this is Google we're talking about. Trust me, if you only knew the things I have heard about them. They have stock in Area 51 and a very significant power in the government.

Did you read the regs? You only have to comply if YOUR site has sexually explicit images on it. If some site you link too has sexually explicit images on it is THIER responsibilty to keep the 2257 records not yours.

that is NOT true

this is what they said ..it will be clarified

Twenty-four commenters commented that the exclusion of providers of
web-hosting services who do not manage the content of the site or
service is vague and may be under-inclusive because some services
manage or control certain website content, e.g., advertisements, but
not the sexually explicit content. According to the commenters, it is
similarly unclear whether editing content only for copyright
infringement purposes would constitute control of content. The
Department adopts this comment. The exclusion of providers
web-hosting services who reasonably cannot manage the content of the site
will be clarified to exclude providers of web-hosting services who
reasonably cannot manage the sexually explicit content of the site (for
either technical or contractual reasons).
