I watched Revenge of the Sith last night.

Definately was the best out of the first 3. Maybe the best out of the entire series.

In what order will future generations watch these movies:
Part IV, V, VI, I, II, III
or
Part I, II, III, IV, V, VI?

lesbodojo 05-26-2005 10:44 AM

I don't know, homie. The acting sucked. He relies to heavily on cgi.

Downtime 05-26-2005 10:48 AM

I really enjoyed it too, definately one of the best and WAY WAY better than the last two he put out; those I thought were really bad. I really liked how this one was darker and more violent, it really cut out the cheezy acting a lot (plus I think the acting got better).

I still think kids will watch Episode 4 first, then five and six. Otherwise when they get to 4 the whole, "Luke, I am your father" thing kinda turns into a , "No shit, Sherlock" and it loses it's shock appeal. Just my :2 cents:

I think the acting was best in this movie. Even the acting in the orginal 3 sucked with Luke crying all the time. I will admit that the gushy love stuff with Aniken and Natalie Portman in this episode was lame but at least it was short.

Yeah that's a good point. And also when he gets his Dark Vador breathing suit kids will probably just say so what? Dark Vador really only devolops in Empire Strikes Back.

This is a must-see IN THE THEATRE movie.. with all the special effects and everything, I don't think watching it on your home TV would do it justice. You should definitely check it out, it's a good movie!

Tala 05-26-2005 11:03 AM

I got so disgusted with Star Wars after the second episode that I'm not sure I want to see this one. Geez.

Hey Bro'

I thought it was the worst out of the series.....

Nothing compares to The Empire Strikes Back!

OG LennyT 05-26-2005 11:13 AM

Hayden's acting vastly improved since Episode 2, conversely, Portman's got worse and fortunately she plays a smaller role than she did previously.

Best movie of the 6 imho

RisqueWritings 05-26-2005 11:13 AM

I haven't seen it yet... not in that big of a hurry to... my son has twice though and liked it, so, I am sure I will eventually. Was just over the first two.

Screaming 05-26-2005 11:15 AM

man i cant wait to see it

Axeman 05-26-2005 11:16 AM

Empire Strikes Back was by far the best one

mistakes in Revenge of the Sith (did you spot any?):

- While Anakin and Palpatine are talking at the performance, in one shot of Anakin we see Palpatine turn his head side on to the camera and drop his chin to his chest. In the very next shot he's holding his head high.

- Near the start, as Anakin and the politicians start walking away, Jar-Jar says "excuse me" to a large blue creature next to him. In the next, wider shot, there's now another creature between them.

- Anakin has his lightsaber in his hands immediately after having his handcuffs cut off on the bridge of General Grievous' ship. In the next shot, he has to force-retrieve it from Grievous.

- When Obi-Wan meets Anakin on the landing bay of the volcanic planet, Obi-Wan comes down the ramp from the ship and removes his cloak. It lays across the end of the ramp. The shot changes, then comes back, and the cloak is now bunched off to one side.

- When Anakin has just had the bad dream, Padme comes out wearing the nightdress with rows of beads around her arms. In one shot, the beads on her right arm are twisted, in the next, they're straight again.

- Just before the lightsaber battle between Mace Windu and Darth Sidious, we see the lightsaber of Sidious ejected from his sleeve and he grabs it with his finger down the length of it. We then instantly cut to a wide shot and he's suddenly gripping it with all his fingers curled in.

- In the Mace Windu/Palpatine fight scene, the glass window is shattered after being hit by a lightsaber. However, while Palpatine is talking to Anakin after the fight, you can still see Anakin's reflection in the space where the glass was.

- In the scene where Anakin arrives on Mustafar and tells R2-D2 to stay with the ship, as he pulls the hood of his robe over his head, his mechanical hand is on his left hand and not on his right as it should be.

Revenge of the sith relies heavily on graphic presentation.
Lucas is making a last impression that his works are still the best.

:smokin

Jensen 05-26-2005 02:23 PM

It was a fun movie and tied up some things from part 1 and 2 and is a perfect lead in for 4,5,6
