Anyone here have an MB E55 AMG?
 

I talked to my dealer today about trading in my 03' M3smg for one.Naturally,he says it's the best car he's ever driven.I'd be interested in some honest opinions.

I dont have one but I know it is considered the fastes sedan right now. But only till the new ///M5 comes out, 7 gears and over 500 horses

I've been driving 3series as a daily for a long time now.If BMW wouldn't have screwed up the 5 series so badly I would hold out for the M5.The S is too large for my taste.Plus the E55amg is 469hp supercharged. 0-60 in 4.5 sec.

a very sweet looking car, i'd go for the S class though

For that money I'd go and get the new M5. It's also automatic and even faster.

Filmed from inside the M5, the E55 AMG gets the jump, reeled in and overtaken. You must love the sound of the new M5, and the looks are killer too. :pimp

for that much HP and a supercharger thats pretty slow.


I do 0-60 in 4.9 and I have no super charger =-x

the new bmw design for 5&7s just can't compete with MB
but thats just my 2 cents :)

Compared to the current M5 yes.The fin on the roof,the wraparound lights and the trunk that was designed by Checker Cab ruined it for me.

The front view of the 55 is nice,but the side looks kind of odd.Not at all traditional MB..and the cost is about the same as the E55

Back to the point of the post..does anyone here have an E55 amg? I haven't driven one yet.My dealer has two being built now.So I am curious about handling,braking..any issues that are newsworthy? I know it goes fast in a straightline,but there are times when there are corners to deal with. :)

I've driven a few Audi's as loaner cars,but never really considered one to buy.The models I've driven were fine,but they really lacked personality.

I have the E 320 and I love it. The E 55 is slick, you will be very happy with it I'm sure.

my dad drives one, it's a pretty quick car. I drove it a couple of time and I liked it alot. He said there was an electrical problem with the engine once but the dealer sorted that shit out.

Heavy on gas though.

I never licked Audi but the new models are much better quality then Mercedes and BMW.

dude, its an Eclass no matter what engine you stick in it.
Its got soccer mom styling.
If you don't want an S, you should be buying the cls55

I guess we all have our crosses to bear..
I prefer the traditional German design.The CLS55 and the BMW 6 series looks like something that Buick would build.The S-class is nice and when I get old(er) I'll probably end up in something that size.
