Tonight, while walking to my car... heading out to check my PO Box, there was a mother and a couple of her kids walking down the sidewalk. As I walked past them with my brother, one of her girls said "hi, what's your name?" I said I'm Noah... what's yours? Kinda cute...

But her mom was giving me the most evil glare I've ever seen... and didn't say a word. She obviously knows what I do, the plates on my car kind of give it away. I guess in a conservative place like this, I can imagine the religious families out here would probably be scared shitless of their young daughter talking to a pornographer. But that really rubs me the wrong way, because I haven't done anything that would imply I do anything illegal. Sometimes I would really like to get inside their heads and understand what they're thinking.

maybe this is weird and i'm strange but i almost feel compelled to avoid kids at any cost. who wants to imagine what people are thinking or feeling if you are to even say a simple hi to a kid. and god forbid they find out what you do for a living.

Well its not hard to guess what they are thinking. Since she is the mother of course she is going to imagine the most extreme cases because thats just how mothers are. She probably thought you were going to take her daughters virginity (probably already gone) and that you'd exploit her than beat her because of the way this industry is viewed by people outside of it. Why have plates that kinda give away what you do though? Down in bush country i've got enough problems just cashing a check with larry flynt's signiture :(
