do warning pages hurt conversions at all?

Type ins looking for your site? Extremely little.

404 traffic, blind leads, etc could severely affect conversions.

no. it ends up making you more in the long run.

and if you are going to use one, use an exit link provided by warningpages.com

instead of "click here to leave now" and linking to google, throw a link by warningpages in there and get paid on that traffic as well :thumbsup

Ofcourse.. does it bring more people to the page where the sale is closes?

if != more = less. I'd say a simple warning page cuts of 10% and an advanced WP
(where oyu have to enter your BD and such) 20-30% traffic loss.
