Google Page Ranks are working again

it's working after 4 days

It was down for 3 days, although some regions of the world could see it at various times, others couldn't see it for longer. It was a test by Google, they chose the holiday weekend purposely for it.

But, keep in mind that they have switched over to an entirely new ranking system (not algo - although this also has changed), and we may still see the end of Page Rank within 12 months.

Google rep on WMW released a statement saying nothing has changed and PR just went down and now its back up.

It's not the first time they've tried to distract webmaster's attention from what they're doing.

They switched to a rotating results system. There are currently 8 different result sets being displayed on www in equal proportions. Various algos at the same time. We predicted they'd do this years ago, and it seems they could be using it to make comparisons between the algos, or, it may be the beginnings of a completely new system.

Why can't they just be rotating 8 sets of results because they have so damn many? Yahoo rotates theirs as well.
