He already said he won't.

adultguus 06-01-2005 01:22 AM

I have voted a YES. I think I made myself clear of why in the other thread.

adultguus 06-01-2005 01:26 AM

Hey prada, do you know the exact rules on the referendum?

I saw this yesterday, but in a glimp:

- referendum is NOT binding to the government.
- at least 30% has to show up
- for a NO 55% is needed

The last rule is interesting and one that I'm not sure about. I thought I read that (it was on tv), but like I said, it was in a glimp. Do you know if that is true?

FuqALot 06-01-2005 01:27 AM

FuqALot 06-01-2005 01:28 AM

Yes I know these rules, the 30% will be met quite easily. I still believe JP would try to push a YES through if the No votes are higher than 55%

Dalai lama 06-01-2005 04:07 AM

I said No.

Pornopat 06-01-2005 05:36 AM

I just voted no against this constitution.
On these grounds and with these countries I say no.
I may say yes a next time though. Who knows...maybe a shared constitution with all the countries saying no....
:winkwink:

justsexxx 06-01-2005 05:38 AM

Voted no. Dalai rama, how can I reach you?

Dirty-Dough 06-01-2005 06:30 AM

I just voted no..
The idea that on certain points the Dutch would not have a veto anymore, but can be outvoted by the conservatives from eastern and southern europe, scares the hell out of me.. That enough reason to vote no.
Some parts of the constitution are good, other parts are bad.. But I don't want to be forced to vote yes so that the good parts get a go ahead, while at the same time the bad parts get implemented at the same time..
Bottom line.. The 'constitution' is too diverse and to broad and therefor crap.

ssp 06-01-2005 06:35 AM

When will the results be in?

Thats a good point.... I think we all have points in the Constition that we really dont like and that will sway us. Its a shame it has to be so general.... perhaps they could have made the on various options or points to adopt.

I like the EU but if we have a referendum here I will say no... those right wingers scare me as well.

Of course if the Dutch say no today we will not be bothering with a vote here. Its dead in the water anyway.

pradaboy 06-01-2005 09:04 AM

30% opkomst is gehaald, om 16 uur al :thumbsup

pradaboy 06-01-2005 10:35 AM

well this GFY poll isn't really decisive... if all the "none of your business" votes are YES then it'd be 19-16. Can't wait for the real results :)

pradaboy 06-01-2005 12:01 PM

first official estimate:

63% against
37% for

*celebrates*
