When "quoting" from a previous post, is it proper to put your response above or below the quote?

I prefer the below type of response.

When you say, "quoting" what do you mean exactly?

Putting your response above a quote is silly unless everyone reads from the bottom up now.

Usenet people always complain if you top post (because it bothers them so much). And everyone knows that people that post on usenet are always right.
