shoe brand (trademark, design) question
 

I have a question about a shoe brand (trademark etc).
I own a pair of shoes that my father had as running shoes. I don't think that company exists and there is no tm on the name.
How do i do if i want to start the shoe brand again, is it possible, and do i have to buy the rights to the design and brand or?
the shoes must be almost almost 20 years old.

first check if the brand name is free. Go to a registration agency etc.

check the registration office, benelux has a large one, Im sure Sweden too, normally the patent/trademark will stay for a nr of yrs 10 20 at least, you gotta check that first.

im not sure where the company had there office but i need to check europe and us, maybe get a lawyer and ask him. I also need to google some more and see what i can find. Thanks for the help
