How to make long screen shots?
Can anybody tell me how to make long screen shots, where it shows more of a web page than what shows in one page of the browser?
similar to the captures here http://www.amateurcurves.com/exchange.html What's the trick? |
Take multiple screenshots as you scroll down and then paste them together in photoshop and then you can decrease the size if you wish.

Exactly, a nice 23" display using 1920x1200 should do the trick. |

Thanks guys. I'm gonna take a look at those programs for future use. I wasn't getting any responses here for a while so I went ahead and screwed around myself until I figured something out.
If you have a video card that will support it, this is what I did... Switched the alignment of my video so it was rotated 90 degrees. Basically it's so you can turn your monitor on it's side and get a full page-view type layout for legal documents and that sort of thing. Then switched my resolution up as high as it would go with that layout, and held my head sideways and took all the screenshots I needed. Switched the video back to normal, and resized, edited, etc... Makes you dizzy for a few minutes, but works great if you have a lot of screens to capture and want to do it quickly. :) http://www.thefilthyfew.com/screen-xxxxpro.jpg |

Hypersnap DX has a feature that will scroll the whole window and make a cap of it.

If you have Adobe Acrobat (not the freebie Reader version), it can save a page as a really tall PDF file.
Then you can open the PDF in Photoshop. |
