Drive in movie theatre??
im thinking of taking my gf to Overlook-Drive-in theater in NY which has largest screen in usa.
anyone ever been to a drive-in-movie before? |
nobody.. damn.
|
Used to go every week, now it is gone :(
Though I do have fond memories of the first drive in where I grew up at. It was situated near the freeway. One night when I was real young like 7 or 8 we were driving home along the freeway and WHAM! out of nowhere a 20-30' tall buck naked girl was outside of my window, must of been 7 feet of bush alone. It was my first experience seeing a naked girl and I must admit since she was nearly 20 feet tall or so it has been hard to ever compare another again. |
back in the 70s

Up until around umm 7 years or so ago I used to go weekly to the place by my current house. It is now a field. |
ahhhhhhhh
|
they tore them all down
I miss drive-in movies, It was the best place to get a girl, pizza, movie and get laid all at the same time.
|
We still have some here in Phoenix. In fact, the one I go to quite often has 5 screens and plays double features. Nothing like popping up a big bag of corn, loading the cooler with some tasty beverages, putting on comfy clothes and snuggling in the back of the SUV.

never been to one
|
I used to go a lot when I was a child. I miss those days. There's nothing like sitting on the hood of the car watching a movie. :thumbsup
|
hehe im guessing im gonna have fun
|
Yeah I have...It's ok..I prefer the theater tho
|
I'm going to one tonight to see "The Longest Yard" @ 10pm. I haven't been to one since I was a kid even though its just a few miles from me.

I saw the movie "Halloween" at the drive-in when it first came out in the 70's
|
They are pretty rare nowadays but back in the day it was great on a summers night..Drink and smoke and fuck and watch a flick at the same time
|
Would you like some butter on your mortgage leads?
:1orglaugh :1orglaugh :1orglaugh |
never been... :(
|
we still have a drive in theater here in Vegas :)
|
We had 2 in Toronto, the last was demolished for a multi-mega-movie-monster-plex shaped like an alien spacecraft. F'in amusement park where the smallest drink will probably set you back $4.50.
I miss the old drive-ins but I don't see them making a comeback anytime soon ... shame. |

When I was younger I used to go. It's been awhile even though there is one not too far away.
|
I think the last time I went to a Drive-In Movie Theatre was I was two-years-old or even younger in 1978 when I saw "Superman." We do have one Drive-In left in Rhode Island. Amazing that it survived all these years. The rest of them closed down. I would definitely take your GF there. It'd be a fun experience.

It sounds like it's you're first visit to a Drive-In. Only two things can make the night go to shit:
1. You forget just how close you are to that fucking pole, and 2. Please replace the speaker before putting vehicle in motion. |
I always goto the drivein... fucking rocks if you ask me...

Just got back from the drive-in. The best thing about the drive-in is that you can bring beer. We picked up some Red Stripe and bought some nachos. :thumbsup
