Can an American webmaster sell only to non Americans and escape 2257?
If American surfers can not reach your pages.. would you still be breaking the law?
Also.. A while back a guy was busted for obsenity in the UK.. He tried saying that his content was hosted in America and so he was exempt.. The UK Judge ruled that because he "uploaded" the content from the UK to the american server.. then allowed UK citizens to view it he had "Published" the content in the UK. The guy would have got off if he uploaded the content from outside of the UK as it would have been published outside of the UK and not covered by the obsene publications act. |
I don't think any US citizens/residents are exempt from 2257, no matter whom they sell to. I could be wrong though.

And thats not as stupid as it sounds.. more than 50% of our signups are non U.S. And guess where 90% of the chargebacks come from? |

If you are shooting adult content your not exempt
If your shooting adult content in the U.S. and selling to anywhere in the world except the US.....you are not exempt...and as stated in another post whats the point ...what would you be trying to get away with.... :1orglaugh :1orglaugh
