Michael Jackson ordered to New Orleans to face kidnapping and sexual assault charges!

Beat it to N.O., judge tells Jackson

I hadn't heard a thing about this on TV when about half an hour ago I heard the morning guy talking about it on WTIX (New Orleans), I looked it up in Google news and sure enough there is a guy who says he suddenly remembered MJ kidnapping and sexually assaulting him. Jackson has been ordered to appear in a New Orleans federal court July 20 before U.S. District Judge Eldon Fallon.
Quote:

Jackson's accuser in the federal case, Joseph Thomas Bartucci Jr., claims he was 18 and in New Orleans with two friends for the 1984 world's fair when a Jackson employee lured him into the singer's white limousine. He says he endured harrowing treatment during a drive to California and was returned to New Orleans nine days later.

Bartucci claims the experience was so traumatic that he repressed memory of it until he saw a 2003 Court TV report about a California investigation of Jackson for alleged child molestation.

In 1984, Jaco would have been about 20~21. The idiot should be laughed out of court for waiting 21 years to file a charge. Jaco's own attorneys prolly just wanted to keep that one alive to run up a bill is my opinion.

exactly - I find this hard to beleive and wonder why there isnt a committee set up to verify facts and determine whether its worth proceeding. At this rate, we can all break MJ by collectively filing lawsuits against him.

stupid, simply stupid.

whether I think the guy is guilty or not makes no difference. they had a jury of 12. all seemed pretty smart to be - they spent more than enough time hearing all the evidence, I didnt.

I would imagine if I was a jury member seeing all the crap said about MJ, I may just do the same. Right now though, I am a couch lawyer.

A couple on that jury appeared to be a bit "out there" though :1orglaugh

The reason this jury acquitted: the boy's story was basically, "I slepted over at Michael Jackson's house and he masturbated me. I didn't like it nor did I stop him but I came back again and he masturbated me. I didn't like it nor did I stop him but I came back again and he masturbated me. I didn't like it nor did I stop him."

FYI - Michael Jackson was born in 1958. Therefore, he would have been 26 years of age in 1984.

Wiggles 06-14-2005 08:22 PM

someone should come forward that isn't interested in money and file charges.

:1orglaugh

Now I remember him - that black long-haired, falsetto voice, white face and limo to match - I remember him! He tried to entice me into his car by offering me candy.

What a load of utter tossers - including the prosecutor in New Orleans and the judge who issued this order - if accurate!

Sure got some "quality" in the legal process! Not! :1orglaugh :1orglaugh

You are kidding, right?
TV news doesn't say a lot of things. Take the initiative to look it up at google news. I assure you the Times Picayune which that article came from is not a BS gossip rag, but if you want to think they're a bunch of Louisiana liars, here's another article about it:

http://eurweb.com/story.cfm?id=20658
Quote:

*Should Jackson still be a free man next month, he?ll have to face a New Orleans judge who has ordered him to appear in court on July 20 to discuss what lawyer will represent him in a federal sexual assault case. Last fall, a Louisiana man sued the singer claiming he held him prisoner and sexually assaulted and battered him for nine days in 1984.

Jackson's accuser, Joseph Thomas Bartucci Jr., claims he was 18 when lured into Jackson?s white limo while hanging with two friends at the 1984 world?s fair in New Orleans. He says his harrowing treatment during a nine-day drive to California and back was so traumatic that he repressed memory of it until he saw a 2003 Court TV report about a California investigation of Jackson for alleged child molestation.

Four New Orleans lawyers and one Baton Rouge attorney were hired to defend Jackson, but withdrew April 29 for reasons they described as "sensitive in nature." Tuesday?s order from U.S. District Judge Eldon Fallon, sent to the singer at his Neverland Ranch by certified mail, said Jackson must show up in New Orleans in July on pain of "imposition of appropriate sanctions" unless he engages a new attorney.

Jackson's former New Orleans attorneys, all with the firm of Schonekas, Winsberg, Evans & McGoey, sued him earlier this week in Civil District Court to collect nearly $47,000 they say he owes for their services between Nov. 16 and April 29.
