Band of brothers was a 1 time series by hanks and speilberg... from my understanding....
Speilberg is now releasing his new series "into the west" havent seen it yet, but if its in the same caliber as band of brothers its another must have in your collection... |

I agree about Enemy At The Gates. The producers clearly didnt know a fuck about history of Battle For Stalingrad and messed up each and every damn thing in the movie. This one awfully sucks and people know that.
I saw Band Of Brothers series only a few months ago and it absolutely rocked me. It was really hard to get where i live, but when i got it and watched all 10 episodes I was amazed. Band Of Brothers Saving Private Ryan are the best war movies ever. |

A number of the war movies I like are on the backdrop of a war rather than movies about the actual fighting. Some of the blood and guts films are great too but since these sort rarely get a mention I thought I would mention some of faveorite 'war as a back drop' movies.
