high traffic domain generating over $40 daily on PPC for sale

OVT result with extension: 400
Average daily visitors: 8000
Average daily revenue on PPC: $42

Asking price: $15,000

Please contact me for more info.

Dalai lama 06-20-2005 03:56 PM

$42 daily from typeins?

Alex 06-20-2005 03:57 PM

12 Month Rev for a typein is good.

Please post the domain here as it will be asked.

iridium69 06-20-2005 04:06 PM

Dalai lama, no if it were 8000 typeins we would expect to do significantly better than $42/day
Traffic is split approx 1500 daily from typeins+bookmarks, the rest from links.

Alex and others, please contact me for more details. Thanks.

YOU are on crack.

The industry standard for selling sites is 3 months worth of income. At $40 a day that's $3600

Furious_Male 06-21-2005 07:53 AM

The actual domain would make a difference in the price as well.

taibo 06-21-2005 07:53 AM

ya whats the domain

There's no universally accepted "industry standard". The less stable the traffic is, the shorter life span the site (and therefore the income) is expected to have. Which is the reason why TGP's/MGP's with skimmed traffic from trades will go for 2-4 months worth of income. Then you have sites doing hardlink trades, these normally make more per month and are also a lot more stable, traffic wise. If you get anyone to sell you such a site for less than 9-12 months worth of income, please refer me to that person, I've got a few bridges to sell them. Then, there are also sites whose traffic is expected to stay stable pretty much forever, like type-in domains. I think that the asking price, equivalent to a year's income in this case, is quite decent. Of course, none of us knows what the domain name is, but assuming that the new owner keeps making an average of $42/day from it, the asking price isn't bad at all.

If he doesn't know better, teach him. But resorting to insults, the same way he did, will mean you're no better than he is.

:1orglaugh I saw a domain selling for 8 years of revenue last week, don't tell me about an "industry standard"... especially not at such a low rate. If anyone wants to sell me type-in domains @ 3 months of revenue please e-mail:

[email protected]

Nicky 06-21-2005 08:27 AM

wow, sounds like a good deal, too bad i dont have the cash loose, would be cool of ya to post the domain.....

iridium69 06-21-2005 08:43 AM

a) I am not on crack ;)
b) numerous people have already contacted me following this thread and they did not seem to be on crack or think I was ;)
c) as in any domain name sale, the actual name itself does make a difference which is why potentially interested parties are free to contact me
d) I'm using the very good TrafficValet for PPC
e) current high bid is $8000

~Ray 06-21-2005 08:50 AM

if the 8k was steady then OK, but, the traffic is also from LINKS. Will links stay up after sale? Probably not, will traffic and $$$ go down after sale. Yes.

Stay away from this scam.

Some type in, some bookmark, some LINKS. What % of each? Stats? Like you would dare answer that.

How is this a scam if he provides the info upfront? He has said 1500 of 8K is type-in and the rest link traffic. The links have occured naturally since this domain was used for a paysite which is still very popular, the owners let it drop but are still running the paysite from another domain.

Don't judge before you know all the facts :2 cents:

Type-ins only because it was an established site before.

Lets say lensman sold gfy and someone put up a webmaster resource page.

Once you visit it once, see that it isnt gfy, you wont type it in again.

So 5-7 months is good here
12 mos. is a lot, but it can be worth it.

FilthyRob 06-21-2005 10:06 AM

15,000 what?

still useless w/out a domain name. BTW, this isn't the place for this shit. This is where you need to go:

http://www.gofuckyourself.com/forumdisplay.php?f=35

iridium69 06-21-2005 10:23 AM

lets say this was an established PAYSITE
lets say the name was dropped 9 months ago
lets say the paysite was reestablished on another extension
lets say 9mo later the OVT numbers are 4x better on the old name
lets say traffic distribution looks like this:
32.56% UNITED STATES (US)
9.62% GERMANY (DE)
6.87% UNITED KINGDOM (GB)
4.52% CANADA (CA)
2.96% FRANCE (FR)
2.63% ITALY (IT)
2.51% JAPAN (JP)
2.22% POLAND (PL)
2.17% SPAIN (ES)
2.03% NETHERLANDS (NL)

There are lots of variables involved, which is why I prefer working 1 on 1 with interested parties ...
